Some of hotels' management contract was transferred under APHSC, as these two corporations share the very some supporting system. As "APHSC" more involved with China market (1995), most of properties were gradually handed-over back to "AHSC" as "APHSC" team need to be more focus on China operation. Most of hotel listed are still under "AHSC''s management.

III. During the years of the Regan Administration in the mid ‘80s, many of the financial institutes started to fail, typically "Savings and Loans". The U.S. government agency "FDIC" (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) chartered "FADA" (Federal Assets Disposition Association) to resolve problems by liquidating those bank/financier repossessed properties/assets, and some of those assets were financially troubled hotels. When "RTC" (Resolution Trust Corporation) was formed based on the "FIRREA" (Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act) in late 1989. All "FADA's" assets were turned over to RTC after mid 1990.

American Pacific Hospitality Services Corp. was one of the registered/qualified hotel management companies to provide our services to above-mentioned government agencies. The main objectives of our services provided to our client during that period were to:

(1) Work with the legal firm appointed by our client/s to perform "Take Over" (a terminology) hotel/s under our client's instruction, and prevents hotel/s day-to-day operation being interrupted by any legal issues also, to secure the assets of the hotel/s.

(2) Evaluate hotel's staff/personnel, restructure the management team also, the operating procedures, and make the hotel's operation be more efficient.

(3) Reposition the hotels and develop new marketing strategy to improve Gross Revenue/Sales.

(4) Implement new departmental cost control procedures to improve hotel's profitability.

(5) Examine the physical condition of the hotel's, and making improvements (partial or complete renovation) as needed. (Most of those hotel properties were poorly maintained before "APHSC" assumes its management position of the hotels.)

(6) Work with the brokerage firm to liquidate hotel assets with highest price that market will allow.

V. "World Trade Center Grand Hotel" was a major project that was invested by Zhejiang Provincial Government in China and started the construction in 1985, but for various reasons the construction was ceased about one year later after it started.

In 1995 Zhejiang Provincial Government decided to re-launch the "WTCGH" project, and American Pacific Hospitality Services Corp. (APHSC) was award with a "Full Management Contract" in late 1996, by the owning entity "Zhejiang World Trade Center Co., LTD."(A Zhejiang Provincial Government owned company), for a term of five years.

"APHSC's" objectives for the "WTCGH" project were:

1. Ensure that "WTCGH" can be operated efficiently and the products are marketable for years to come.

2. Work with designers to re-plan or to correct all the defects/flaws of the original design.

3. In the meantime, to work with construction teams to resolve all the pre-excised construction problems.

4. Develop the "Business Plan" that includes "Pre-Opening Plan and Budget" also the "Standard Operation Procedures" for all departments.

5. Identify, hire and train a management team that can be the start-up team for "WTCGH's" own Management Company. In order to accomplish

this mission "APHSC" dispatched a strong team consists of eight staffs from US to work with "WTCGH's" management team side by side for a period of two years, to "Lead", to "Educate/Train" them until they are all possessed capabilities and skills to perform their duty to meet our client's expectations.

6. Ensure the hotel start-up smoothly, and that the quality of the hotel can meet "Five Star" standard, according to the "Hotel Rating System" issued by China Tourism Bureau.

"APHSC" accomplished all the tasks and completed the contracted missions in 2001. The "World Trade Center Grand Hotel" continues to grow, and today in China, there are 31 hotel properties signed management contracts with "WTCGH". For information about those hotels, please visit www.wtcgh.com

VI. In 1998, "American Pacific Hospitality Services Corp.", "Yunnan Provincial Tobaccos Bureau" and "Franchise Services International Inc." formed a joint-venture company in China; the name of this company is "Howard Johnson Hotels (China)".

Through "Franchise Services International Inc.", together, we (as "Howard Johnson China) acquired a 40-year "Master Franchise Right" for the China territory from "Howard Johnson International". That is; during these 40 years only "Howard Johnson (China)" can issues franchises, utilizing the Name of "Howard Johnson" to provide hotel management, and no one-else, including "Howard Johnson International", themselves have the right to do so.

However, the dilemma was that although "Howard Johnson" is a worldwide recognized hotel brand name, but they are mainly in the "franchise" business and does not "manage" any hotels. They never had any hotel management systems that can be offered to "Howard Johnson (China)". The initial hotel management systems including Management Concepts, Operating Procedures, Products Development Concepts and Market Positioning Strategies were mainly implemented by "APHSC".

Nevertheless, as part of "Howard Johnson (China)" and in order to avoid confect of interest, APHSC along with two of its partners mentioned above had an agreement; to put all their focus, resources and efforts together to develop, and operate/manage all hotels under the name of "Howard Johnson" only. APHSC's operation within China territory was gradually transformed from "Hotel Management" to become "Project Development" since early 2000's.But, this role does not eliminate APHSC's abilities to provide "Hotel Management" services out side of China territory, and also APHSC has the access to the supporting system from "Howard Johnson (China)".

There are 29 hotels in China managed by "Howard Johnson (China)" today. For more information about those hotels, please visit www.hojochina.com.

VII. Throughout the years, American Pacific Hospitality Services Corp. provided its comprehensive services to hotel industries, both in China, and in the United States. We have had many opportunities to work with most of the well-known hotel franchise companies. Some of the franchise hotels that we have managed are reflected in item I.
VIII. In addition, due to the hotel's marketing needs, "APHSC" had opportunities to work with many Global Distribution Systems like, Apollo, Sabre, Galileo, and Worldspan…etc. We objectively define each hotel's marketing needs, then, we identify the system/s that is/are most suitable for the particular hotels.

Furthermore, we also work with many consortium travel agency networks, like Carson Travel, American Express…etc.
